Looking Ahead to the 2025-2026 Legislative Session

Next week, I will be headed to Harrisburg for one of the first weeks of the 2025-2026 legislative session, and I’m eager to get to work on behalf of our district and the Commonwealth.

This session, I am honored to serve as Majority Chairwoman of the Community, Economic, and Recreational Development Committee and Vice Chair of the Local Government committees. Additionally, I will serve as a member of the Appropriations; Transportation; Judiciary; Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure; and Labor and Industry committees.

I look forward to a productive session focused on promoting fiscal responsibility and common-sense solutions that will benefit our communities and the entire state. Thank you for trusting me to serve as your voice in Harrisburg—I’m ready to get to work!

Since I was first elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2010 and later to the Pennsylvania State Senate in 2022, I’ve worked hard to build a reputation as an accessible, hard-working, and common-sense problem-solver. Throughout my time in the legislature, I’ve successfully enacted several laws—each with bipartisan support.

I invite you to visit my Accomplishments Page to learn more about the legislation I’ve personally championed for you in the Pennsylvania legislature.

Presidential Inauguration

I had a great few days in Washington, D.C., this week for the Presidential Inauguration! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from across Northeast Pennsylvania, including Senator David G. Argall and U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie. I even had the chance to catch up with our U.S. Senator, John Fetterman.

Grateful for these opportunities to connect, collaborate, and stay focused on what matters most—putting people above politics every step of the way.

Winter Emergency Travel Kit Tips

Winter travel can bring extended traffic stops. You can ensure your safety and comfort by packing an emergency travel kit.

Be sure to include a blanket, ice scraper, flashlight, warm clothing and gloves, sand, jumper cables, cellphone charger, small shovel, first aid kit, water and nonperishable food. A printable winter emergency kit list from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is available here.

Your winter emergency kit should also include the personal items you need to accommodate the family members who travel with you, such as special medication, baby supplies and pet food.
