Brown’s Bill Expanding Maternal Health Care Approved by Committee I am pleased to share that my legislation, Senate Bill 507, which would establish a certified midwife license in Pennsylvania, was recently approved by the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee. This marks an important step forward in addressing gaps in maternal health care across […] [Read More]

I joined the Pink Light Walk last night along with Mariclaire from our office at @esuniversity (ESU). Sponsored by @lvhealthnetwork and ESU, the walk is a shining beacon of hope and honoring those courageously facing breast cancer. Hundreds of people walking and building strength. 🩷
Remind the women in your life to take an active approach to their health, get their mammogram and do self-breast exams monthly💕

Had such a fun visit and tour of Ritter`s Cider Mill last week in Jefferson Township! 🍎🎃 I have been meaning to stop by this great local business for quite some time, and I was so glad to be able to meet all those who make this place run! ❤️
They are open 7 days a week from Labor Day until Christmas Eve, have fun interactive activities for the whole family, top quality products, and so much more! This weekend they even have the Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department stopping by for a Touch a Truck event...check them out! 🚒😊

More pictures from last week`s Lackawanna County Senior Expo at the @marketplaceatsteamtown! 📸 What a great opportunity for constituents to get out and meet all our Lackawanna County legislators, and learn so much from the over 90 vendors in attendance! 🤗 Thank you to all who attended! 😄

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍂
There’s nothing quite like autumn in Pennsylvania, especially here in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of the 40th District. This season is a reminder of the natural beauty we are so fortunate to call home. 🏡
Take some time to enjoy the changing leaves, local festivals, and all the special traditions that make fall in our community so unique. 🎃

Yesterday, 3 police officers in York County were killed in the line of duty by a heinous act of violence. This loss of life of public servants serves as the ultimate reminder of the sacrifices police officers and other first responders make every single day. Please pray for the officers injured in this attack, and for the families of those who have lost their loved ones. 🙏🏻❤

A few weeks ago, I was honored to receive the Angel Alliance Jack Ryan Award of Benevolence! This recognition is to honor those for their dedication of time and services to those in need! 🤗
It has been such a pleasure working with the Angel Alliance throughout my time as a legislator. They successfully raised over $25,000 for the Capital Campaign of the Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Company`s new firehouse. These funds also allowed Angel Alliance to budget for items such as grant writers and to research funds to obtain a refurbishing grant for their current building. 😇
Thank you again for choosing me for this award, it is so special to me! ❤️😊

💰 The #Powerball is up to $1.8 billion!
But here’s the wild part: even if the Commonwealth “won” the jackpot, it still wouldn’t close the budget gap. That’s how out of balance the House and Governor’s spending plans are.
We need a budget that respects taxpayers, lives within our $45 billion in revenue, and protects families from future tax hikes. #pennsylvania #harrisburg

Labor Day is a time to celebrate the workers who make our communities thrive while providing for their families. ❤ No matter what your vocation or whether you’re an active employee or a retiree, I hope you enter this last stretch of summer with a wonderful holiday weekend. 🇺🇸

The budget delay is hurting schools, local government, service providers, and more. That’s why the Senate passed a short-term budget identical to last year’s to get funds flowing immediately while negotiations continue. 🤝
We can’t spend more than we bring in. It’s simple - dipping into reserves today means tax hikes tomorrow. 📉 #pastatebudget #papolitics

As budget negotiations and policy discussions continue on a 2025-26 state budget, the Senate took action last night and approved a reasonable bill to provide immediate funding to counties, school districts, hospitals and others to ensure operations continue. If the House approves the legislation, the state can start disbursing $47.6 billion without the need for any new taxes. See our news release further: ⬇
