On Friday afternoon, I had the privilege of returning to my alma mater, East Stroudsburg High School, as a panelist for Women’s History Month. It’s always inspiring to engage with students and discuss the importance of civic engagement and the importance of accessibility to your government officials. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Healey for his dedication and effort in organizing such a meaningful event! 🇺🇸

I was honored to join Senator Doug Mastriano, Chairman of the PA Senate Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee, Senator Lisa Baker, PA Adjutant General John Pippy, Brigadier General Maureen Weigle, management, staff, and advocate associations for a roundtable discussion at the Gino J Merli Veterans Center, where I serve on the Advisory Council. 🪖 The Gino Merli Veteran Center provides compassionate nursing and personal home care to veterans and their spouses. We then visited Camp Freedom in Carbondale, a nonprofit organization that provides healing experiences through outdoor adventures, support, and love to veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families. 🇺🇸❤️

Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana program was created to help patients—but is it being implemented responsibly?
I was one of the first legislators to support the legalization of medical marijuana, but concerns remain about oversight. Of the 1,900 certified doctors, most issue fewer than 100 certifications—yet three have issued over 11,000 each. Logistically, that’s nearly impossible.
I asked the Department of Health how they are ensuring quality patient care and proper oversight. Hear the full exchange in the video! ⬇️

The Governor’s address today marks the beginning of our state’s budget process. As a member of the appropriations committee, I look forward to advocating for a plan that protects taxpayers, strengthens our economy, and keeps our state on solid financial footing.
