As the 2023-24 legislative session concludes, Sen. Rosemary M. Brown (R-40) is proud to reflect on a highly productive session marked by the enactment of six bills into law. Out of the 155 new laws passed by the Pennsylvania legislature this session, Brown was one of Harrisburg’s most productive lawmakers, advancing legislation that strengthens local governance, promotes public safety and supports vulnerable populations. A special thanks to CrossFit Geronimo, whose annual Thanksgiving fundraiser raised enough to sponsor all 23 families at Family Promise. 🙏

This week, I had the pleasure of escorting Senator Kim Ward as she was sworn in as the President Pro Tempore for the upcoming 2025/2026 legislative session 🎉. Her second session in this leadership role is a testament to her dedication and compassion to the residents of Pennsylvania. Looking forward to another productive session as we work together to address the critical needs of Pennsylvanians and advance policies that strengthen our communities 🤝.
I appreciate her steadfast commitment to public service and I am eager to collaborate with her and our colleagues to tackle the challenges ahead.

This is a big win for our communities, allowing us to prioritize the personnel who keep us safe.

Veterans Day is a time to honor and remember those who have served in the armed forces. It`s a day to express gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions to our country. Whether through ceremonies, community events, or simply reflecting on their bravery, we can all take a moment to appreciate the dedication of veterans and the impact they`ve had on our freedom and security.

This evening Charles, our intern and Marine Veteran, presented a congratulatory 10th anniversary Citation to Mark Baylis Founder and CEO of VALOR Clinic Foundation at the annual Patriots Ball! ❤️🤍💙
VALOR Clinic Foundation (VCF) provides assistance accessing benefits and shelter to Veterans with limited or no access to care. VALOR helps find shelter for Veterans who, due to health or means, are unable to find or keep shelter of their own. They also provide resources for Veterans who have Post Traumatic Stress, through their Veterans Unstoppable program.
Thank you Mark for your compassion, dedication, and stewardship of improving the lives of our nation’s Veterans in NEPA. 🇺🇸

🚗 Route 611 is Now Open! 🚗
I’m happy to share that Route 611 from Delaware Water Gap to Portland is officially open again! After nearly two years, traffic is moving in a single lane with signal controls, bringing relief to our region’s daily commutes and local businesses.
To our residents and businesses, thank you for your continued voice and connection with my staff and me - I know this was a devastating prolonged closure. Ultimately, this took strong pressure and a collaborative effort from local, state, and federal partners. Thank you to PennDOT’s contractor did a great job with roadway grading, realignment, and safety improvements - working promptly and efficiently.
🔴 Reminder: When approaching the light, ensure you drive all the way up to trigger the signal! The wait should only be a hand full of minutes. Remember, only drive on a green signal, and vehicles over 8 feet wide are still restricted.

This afternoon, Charles from my office attended Middle Smithfield Township’s Veteran Luncheon. 🇺🇸 Charles is a Marine Veteran and was pleased to attend the luncheon alongside his fellow servicemen and women from our community.
Today’s event was an amazing and charitable undertaking by Andy Zaso (Army Veteran) who spearheaded this luncheon alongside Middle Smithfield Township with great help from Boy Scout Troop 87.
Thank you to all involved who hosted this event and honored the great men and women who served our country. ❤️

The foundation of my life has always been centered around God, my family, and doing my best each day. While I never promise perfection, I do promise hard work and care for our community with an extremely grateful spirit.
