Supporting Veteran-Owned Businesses

To promote veteran-owned businesses, the Senate passed Senate Bill 64 requiring the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to create a logo that can be used by Pennsylvania businesses with at least 51% veteran ownership to designate themselves as a veteran-owned business to the public. With Senate Bill 64, DMVA will also make a database available on its website of veteran-owned businesses that applied for and were approved to use the logo.

The bill was sent to the House of Representatives for consideration.

Wishing Veteran Robert Roberts Sr. A Happy 90th Birthday!

Please join me in wishing Mr. Robert Roberts Sr. a very happy 90th birthday! I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Bob and his late wife, Nora, for several years. Their kindness, warmth, and joy have always been a light to those around them. Together, they raised a beautiful family, three children (two sons and a daughter), and are blessed with several grandchildren.

Mackenzie from my staff attended Bob’s birthday celebration and presented him with a Senate citation in recognition of this remarkable milestone.
