HARRISBURG – Applications are now being accepted for the Community Conservation Partnerships Program Grants to assist communities and nonprofits with planning, developing and conserving recreation, park, and trail facilities, according to Sen. Rosemary Brown (R-40).
“Our region has an abundance of recreational and natural resources, including some of the best waterways in the state,” Brown said. “These grants are a great way to ensure our community continues to flourish and develop by rehabilitating our parks, conserving our land, continuing to improve and protect our pristine waterways, and more.”
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) provides grants to counties, municipalities and municipal agencies, pre-qualified land trusts, nonprofits and other eligible organizations with funding related to parks, recreation and conservation. The DCNR Recreation and Conservation grant program is funded with a variety of state and federal funding sources including Pennsylvania’s natural gas impact fee.
Applications will be accepted through April 5th.
